Skin Cancer Reconstruction
People are becoming more aware of the sun damage to skin. The common types of skin cancer, basal cell cancer (BCC or ‘rodent ulcer’) and squamous cell cancer are potentially curable if detected earlier in their growth phase. The other skin cancer, Melanoma, has a higher potential to spread to other parts of the body. Earlier detection and treatment still carries a favorable outcome.
Treatments for skin cancers are available in the NHS. People with Private medical insurance may choose to have the treatment in a Private hospital, to suit their convenience.
